Project Type: Industrial Acoustics
Tech Materials recently worked with a large multinational manufacturing powerhouse in reducing breakout noise from dismountable saw rooms. The client wanted to avoid the need for employees to wear ear protectors when walking around the perimeter of the demountable cutting room. The prefabricated structure was made from aluminium sheeting with no absorption. Tech Materials designed a product using Class 0 acoustic foam, barrier and an aesthetic microperforated facing that can be cleaned if made dirty after the cutting process. The product worked as planned and helped reduce breakout noise by 26db.
FireTech Class 0 foam is a highly absorbent acoustic material with excellent fire retardant properties, perfect for industrial acoustic applications.
Product
Name: FireTech Class 0 Foam
Acoustic Performance: Class B
Composition: Carbon Impregnated PU foam with a microperforated laminate.
FireTech is a highly modified flexible open-celled polyurethane foam. Used as an acoustic sound absorber offering excellent absorption characteristics, especially in the troublesome low frequencies, whilst achieving the highest possible fire resistance ratings for a flexible acoustic foam.
